Turkish Airlines e ITA Airways tendrán código compartido a partir de julio

Las aerolíneas Turkish Airlines e ITA Airways firmaron un acuerdo de código compartido que entrará en vigencia a partir de julio de 2023.

Según explican en el comunicado oficial enviado por Turkish Airlines, a través de esta asociación, los números de vuelo de ITA Airways se colocarán en los vuelos de Turkish Airlines entre Roma y Estambul. Y, a su vez, Turkish Airlines sumará sus números de vuelo en 9 destinos de ITA Airways dentro de Italia desde Roma: Brindisi, Bari, Catania, Florencia, Génova, Palermo, Lamezia Terme, Turín y Trieste.

De esta manera, los pasajeros podrán combinar vuelos de las dos aerolíneas en una única reserva, simplificando el tema de check-in y despacho de equipaje hasta el destino final.

Algo que nos llamó la atención es que se trata del acuerdo de código compartido número 32 para Turkish Airlines, lo cual deja en claro por qué es «la aerolínea que vuela a más países que cualquier otra aerolínea en el mundo».

Istanbul, 6 June 2023: Turkish Airlines and ITA Airways Launch Codeshare Partnership

Turkish Airlines, the airline that flies to more countries than any other carrier in the world and ITA Airways, the national flag carrier of Italy, and, jointly announce the commencement of a codeshare partnership that will be effective within July 2023. The signed agreement between the two flag carriers will be offering more flexibility in terms of flight choices for customers of both airlines between Türkiye and Italy.

Through this codeshare partnership, ITA Airways’ flight numbers will be placed on Turkish Airlines’ flights between Rome and Istanbul; and Turkish Airlines will place its flight numbers on 9 destinations of ITA Airways within Italy from Rome, including Brindisi, Bari, Catania, Florence, Genoa, Palermo, Lamezia Terme, Turin and Trieste. This partnership will be providing enhanced services to customers of both airlines with a seamless connectivity of a single ticket and through check-in of passengers and luggage to their final destination.

Turkish Airlines CEO Mr. Bilal Ekşi, said “Rome and Istanbul have always been exceptional cities to attract and connect people.
